By accessing, browsing, or using our website, or by placing an order with Meat Nkosi, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.


1. Definitions

1.1 Customer / You: Any individual who accesses the Website or purchases Products from Meat Nkosi.

1.2 Products: Perishable meat and meat-related items offered for sale on the Website.

1.3 Supplier / Butcher: Meat Nkosi-approved meat suppliers from whom Products are sourced.

1.4 Delivery Address: The physical address provided by the Customer for delivery of Products.

1.5 Exchange: A replacement of Products of equal value, approved solely for verified quality issues and not constituting a cash refund.


2. Eligibility

2.1 You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to use our Services or place an order.

2.2 By placing an order, you warrant that you have full legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.


3. Service Description

3.1 Meat Nkosi operates an online meat marketplace sourcing fresh, high-quality meat from approved Suppliers.

3.2 Our Services include online product selection, secure online payment processing, and delivery.

3.3 All Products are handled, stored, and transported in compliance with applicable food safety and hygiene regulations.


4. Product Availability and Description

4.1 All Products are subject to availability and seasonal supply constraints.

4.2 Product images and descriptions are provided for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the delivered Product.

4.3 Meat Nkosi reserves the right to modify, substitute, or discontinue Products at any time without prior notice.


5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5.2 Prices may change at any time but will not affect orders already confirmed and paid for.

5.3 Payment must be made online through our approved payment gateways.

5.4 Cash-on-delivery and offline payments are not accepted.

5.5 Orders will only be processed once full payment has been successfully received.


6. Order Processing

6.1 An order confirmation will be issued once payment has been completed.

6.2 Orders are fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to stock availability and delivery capacity.

6.3 Meat Nkosi reserves the right to decline, suspend, or cancel an order due to:

  • Product unavailability

  • Failed or suspected fraudulent payment

  • Delivery outside our service areas

  • Abusive, suspicious, or unlawful activity


7. Delivery Policy

Deliveries are made on the delivery date selected at checkout. While we aim to meet scheduled dates, specific delivery times are not guaranteed.

Initial delivery is provided free of charge.
Risk and responsibility for Products transfer to the Customer upon delivery.

7.1 Delivery Conditions

  • Poultry Products may be delivered fresh or frozen.

  • The delivery agent may contact the Customer upon arrival.

  • Customers must ensure unobstructed access to the Delivery Address.

7.2 Customer-Caused Delivery Failures

Customers must accept delivery within two (2) minutes of the delivery agent’s arrival.

If delivery is not accepted within this timeframe:

  • The free delivery benefit is forfeited for any redelivery.

  • The order may be returned to our depot.

  • A redelivery fee will apply.

Meat Nkosi will take reasonable measures to prevent spoilage; however, we are not liable for spoilage resulting from missed or refused deliveries, incorrect delivery details, or inaccessible premises.

7.3 Failure by Meat Nkosi to Deliver

If Meat Nkosi fails to deliver on the scheduled date due to reasons within our control:

  • Delivery will be rescheduled to the next available delivery day at no additional cost.

  • The Customer will receive non-cash store credit for future use.

  • Where freshness is compromised, affected Products will be replaced at no cost.

7.4 Exclusions

Meat Nkosi is not liable for delivery delays or failures caused by incorrect delivery information, unreachable Customers, access restrictions, force majeure events, or sudden Supplier shortages.


8. Quality Assurance and Returns

8.1 No Cash Refund Policy

Due to the perishable nature of meat Products and our freshness-focused supply chain, Meat Nkosi does not offer cash refunds.

8.2 Exchange Policy (Quality Guarantee)

Customers must report any spoilage, visible quality defects, or other verifiable issues within twelve (12) hours of delivery by emailing orders@meatnkosi.com with clear photographic or video evidence.

If the claim is verified:

  • A replacement Product of equal value or store credit will be issued at no cost.

  • Products must not be consumed, discarded, or altered prior to inspection.

8.3 Exclusions

Exchanges or store credit will not be granted for:

  • Customer preference or taste

  • Incorrect delivery information or missed deliveries

  • Improper storage after delivery

  • Claims that cannot be reasonably verified


9. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate delivery and contact information

  • Be available on the delivery date or appoint a responsible recipient

  • Inspect Products upon delivery

  • Store Products safely and appropriately immediately after delivery


10. Website Use

You may not misuse the Website, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation.

All Website content is the property of Meat Nkosi and is protected by intellectual property laws. Written permission is required for any reproduction or redistribution.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meat Nkosi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Use or storage of Products after delivery

  • Delivery delays

  • Website downtime or technical issues

Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the affected Product.


12. Force Majeure

Meat Nkosi shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, labour disputes, natural disasters, pandemics, supplier disruptions, or infrastructure failures.


13. Privacy and Data Protection

We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Customer data is used solely for order fulfilment, service improvement, and relevant communication.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent South African courts.


15. Amendments

Meat Nkosi may amend these Terms from time to time.
Any changes take effect immediately upon publication on the Website.
Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
